Our Procedure
First step-
Our experienced crew members will cover all of your walls, floors, furniture with industrial grade plastic. This will help to prevent any dust from damaging your existing living space.
Second Step-
We begin to hand scrape your ceilings. If you have “popcorn ceilings” we use a water based solution to spray the ceiling and loosen the texture from the underlying drywall. If you have the stucco type plastered ceilings, the process is a bit more involved and requires a skim coat to ensure the ceilings are smooth. Once the texture has been scraped, we inspect the entire ceiling for flaws and begin the repairation process. This is one of the most important steps in Acoustic removal, because any pre-existing blemishes will be more visible once the chunky popcorn texture is removed.
Third Step-
Our crews use a professional hopper to spray an even , consistent texture coat. Our team is experienced to handle any texture you may desire on your ceilings.
Fourth Step-
Once the new ceiling texture drys, we proceed with the prime and painting procedure. This process generally takes 24-48 hours.
Fifth step-
Clean -up. Our crews will remove all plastic from the walls, floors and furniture. After all debris is removed from the home, we will proceed to sweep wood floors and clean any remaining dust or debris. The same process is applied to carpet, tile and furniture.
When all is said and done, your old popcorn ceilings can be scraped, retextured and painted within a matter of days. Depending how large your house is, the entire process can take anywhere from 4 days to 8 days.
